This is a free service we are offering to the Empire Earth community. We do accept donations since we do pay for the server that runs the lobby. Staff members are not compensated for their contributions to this cause. So, if you like using this lobby then please donate!
We are often asked what the costs of running Save-EE / NeoEE are, so here's a quick breakdown. The game servers run on a Windows virtual private server (VPS) which costs $30/month (USD). This is as cheap as it gets for Windows, which we need since we utilize .NET Framework. Sure, we would love paying a lot less for Linux but this is what we're left with due to the way the game server software was authored. On top of that, we pay about an additional $100/year (USD) for web hosting and domain names. The web hosting is more reliable, which allows us to keep the website up in case we have issues with the VPS.
All donations are handled securely over PayPal. For various reasons, we don't accept other forms of donations.
