Save Empire Earth

I knew people still played the game online but I didn't know there were this many.

Anyhoo, I just uninstalled Starcraft out of spite of all the rampant cheaters on it. We get no love from $blizzard-activision$ and no patches. I see Activision is responsible for removing the WON servers for this classic, their destructive hand reaches far. I already boycott all of their products since they sued gamers but this is just icing on a cake.

On topic now, I'm looking for a mod that allows the camera to be zoomed out, for single player on the original EE. Its a shame that my face is stuck in the dirt when the game offers huge maps and I use the 13200 population mod. Its hard to really know what I'm doing on a large scale when I have a micro-managing view of... dirt.

Are there any files I can change, or mod, or anything that can make the camera zoom out more?

Does such a mod even exist?

I'm pretty sure it's not possible. I've tried this myself via several methods, but it seems no matter what you change, there's always a forced maximum on the camera height during gameplay. You can try searching EEHeaven's downloads (0% chance there is one IMO -- I'd know about it), because scenario and mod development was/is fairly active there. We're a bit more multiplayer oriented.

Was worth a try, I might not even have time to play anyway since a job popped up and I'm trying to get it.
