Aoc was a good game back in the days where many different sets were hosted, but nowadays one only play p2s and mid sh mostly.
I am wondering why people only plays these sets where you don't need any skills. It is getting the Aoc game very boring and undiversified. The most reason why Aoc was so popular because it has 15 epochs and you can make costum civilizations and so use many strategies. It is a waste of potential if you only do your stupid clubman rush in p2s or swordsman rush or bow horse fighter rush in middle age.
Sometimes you see a mod tl running, but mostly the people also only use their stupid hunting and cit cr civ, and only boom which is boring.
Yes I sometimes also host other setted games, but then I don't find any players to play with because most of the nowadays players can't play other sets anymore. They come up with incompetent excuses like "don't know how to play this set" but mostly all sets are the same: you make workers, buildings, military units, and attack.

Also, I would like to mention that some people are very annoying with their "/e XY is hosted, all join :red face smiley which looks ugly:". It is some kind of stupid lowlife commercial. Why do you not realise that if someone wants to play a game they will join or host by themself, and do not need your incompetent annoying commercials?
And I made the suggestion to give to the opportunity to disable HTML, because some may not want to see embed videos or pictures. These high-resourced objects cause a lot of traffic which is not desired. Due to recent events I would like to ask the responsible person to implement this future.

He just wants to play game types that no one has really any strategy besides the basic game ones. I've been gone for a while with some very import-(starcraft 2) and a big difference is you dont see only game types available if this games trying to get better then it originally was (if not why did we have patches made?) then this guy is right, new random game modes could really help out

Yes what I also dislike is the fact, that "unknown" players are kicked from games, even if they only want to obs. Wouldn't it get boring, if you always only play with the same enemies? I am sure save-ee will die if you always kick everyone you don't know, especially if your name is Scculs or Morfoise.
