lmao.Pinky wrote:buell firebolt Xb9r is a 900+cc bike and they stopped producing uell in the past year or so, And it is my understanding that they stopped producing 600f4i's like in 2004 or 2006 I think, and I talked to my parents, and a few other people about it and they said that a 600 would be better for me for now as opposed to a 900. Also Honda cbr600's are cheaper, and the f4i is fuel injected and has more torque for stunts whereas the RR is more geared towards racing.
stunts.
this is your first bike, the chances of you learning stunts right away is slim to none.
you're better off getting a 250 or 400 for the fuel mileage, then after a year or so of riding, bump up to a 600 or 900...

Re: New Years Resolutions
First street bike maybe but 250's are a joke. Besides, if I want to learn how to do stunts with a bike then I'm going to learn how to do it.
I am not getting something that Ill just get bored with and throw away in a week. Also good luck finding a street legal 400cc street bike, (if they even make them at all). And lastly, Fuel mileage has nothing to do with my decision, and even if it did a 600f4i averages like 45 mpg which is normal for a 600 cc bike.
If I wanted your advice, I'd have asked for it.

Re: New Years Resolutions
A 250 isn't a joke, lol.
You can pick up a 250 a hell of a lot easier than a 600, and i wouldnt be surprised if stunts were easier on a 250. Because they're lighter.

Re: New Years Resolutions
Yeah 250's are cheaper, but the only one I would consider getting is a Kawasaki Ninja 250 I think about 350lbs, but they weigh about the same as a CBR600 so their not much different. I use to think getting a Ninja250 would be great to, but I talked the sales guy at the motorcycle dealership convinced me to get a CBR. This particular dealership doesn't even sell Honda. Its really an opinion thing peow we could argue for years and never get anywhere.

Re: New Years Resolutions
My friend has a Ninja 250 and it's definitely a small bike imo. He dumped it on his first ride because he's never ridden a bike before, but I thought it was almost too easy to ride. A CBR600RR on the other hand truly is a wonderful machine. It outperforms every other bike in its class.

Just for fun man, it doesn't have to be logical or make sense.
