whats your economic view??

Post by surrealnumber »

i am a huge austrian economics guy, i loved the keynesian stuff in school but some things just did not make since. things like the random multiplier effect Gov spending is said to have on the market and how the market will be self correcting except when its not, then you have to lower interest rates.

well what are your views?

I think when there is too much government involvement, in terms of regulation and things like "stimulus" money, it makes the market very imbalanced. If the market is already imbalanced it will make the recovery process longer. The market will always balance itself based on simple supply and demand theories, however the end result may not be desirable (i.e. jobs get outsourced, illegal immigrants get hired instead, small businesses close, etc.) and that is why government intervention takes place.

I think if you look at an extreme like socialism, everyone ends up paying for the jobless to live. This doesn't give people any motivation to become successful. In free enterprise, you have to make your own living. The people are motivated to get jobs or be successful entreprenuers, which is all possible due to the nature of the market.

Why do you think people immigranted to America? Opportunity. Honestly I could go on and on about how our health care market is going to be negatively affected due to the new bill and all types of other shit so I'll just stop. It doesn't take a rocket surgeon to understand economics, but it seems to be too hard for most people.
