hi, iwant to know if i can trust on the neoEE, because windows defender says that it has trojan virus

From what I heard it would cost us 10 000 $ in order to buy an ID that would stop anti-virus programs to flag NeoEE as trojan. Basically what's going on is that they see NeoEE as an unknown and therefore flag it. Thousands of installs so far and nobody has had an issue with NeoEE, it's just false flag from anti-virus programs.

It's probably flagged as a Trojan/PUP (Potential Unwanted Program)

The word 'potential' is key here.

Also if you are using anti-virus software, use capable ones and don't rely on windows defender.

Me and my friends were investigating what's exactly the problem causing so many anti-virus softwares to stop the installation.

We found two files to cause the problem.

1. authtools.exe (SHA256: 2751ab5a84930aba338a245b4e17f35a6b3581efb8e5ee2c232b9289374a43c4)

Has nothing to do with save-ee/NeoEE?!?

Registry Key opened:
\Registry\MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\SafeBoot\Option
Loads into system boot!?!?
In my opinion ee should do nothing with system boot!

Very interesting: There are files with date modified 2017/10 - the last NeoEE Version was published in 2016.

Could someone please tell me what those two files do and how files with a newer date can appear inside the patch.

Maybe the developers final 2016 file has been changed somehow. You got a SHA265 of the clean version?

'opinion' is keyword here, there are thousands of programs that 'should not have anything to do' with system boot, yet they are there.
