Same Network problem HELP!

Hello Everyone,
my roommate and i both installed EE 1 a while ago and we played fine for a while just recently he deleted EE and installed it again, so did i.

now, we spent about 6 hours trying to play with each other but i can't join him when we try to play with each other!

any ideas? we both have window 7. have linksys.

If you're playing against just each other then you should use the LAN tab. You'll have better success that way. Trying to play via Direct Connect on the same LAN can cause problems if one of you is trying to host.

There's no such thing, so that could be your problem...

The original, unupdated and unmodded game is version 1.00.2020

Isn't there only like 4 options for multiplayer in EE 1.0? I haven't seen the screen in so long I don't remember.

Just pick the option that's something along the lines of "Network" or "LAN" or "Local"

We both have 2.2 now but we can't connect using LAN. he can see me on the lobby and we can play with each other if we both join someone elses game, but can't play just against each other.
