Dear Admins of Save-ee
I think we should add on to the terms of use with the lobby about the use of clan tags for people who are not authorized to use them (e.g. someone claiming to be in a clan or refusing to stop using the tag when they've been kicked out of said clan). unauthorized use of a clan tag in a username should fall under ghosting or as a new rule. I think the punishments could be simply a change in the username (removal of the tag), and a stronger punishment if the user persists.
Sincerely,

Re: Suggestion of a policy with clan tags...
To some degree we already consider this "ghosting" of a clan, so it is already in the ToS. However, unless a staff member knows who the leaders of a clan are, and can get in contact with said leaders, we have no way of being certain if the person in question is in fact a member or not. If we know for certain that they are not in the clan we tell them to get off, and stay off, the tag.

Re: Suggestion of a policy with clan tags...
As Rob has pointed out, the policy described has basically been in effect ever since the lobby had a Terms of Use.
If someone is ghosting your clan, I have two suggestions:
1) Make sure you have an up to date roster on your clan's website, which uses the actual lobby names of the people in the clan.
2) Have your leaders talk to an administrator or moderator in the lobby.
Obviously, we're not going to take any action unless we are certain, so anything you can do to make it very easy to identify who is and who is not in your clan is very much appreciated. (And, from experience dealing with one clan in particular on this, you should make sure that your members actually know who the leaders are... so there isn't rampant confusion about who can actually kick and recruit members...)
