Tournament details

Setting: Mid Sh
Game: Empire Earth: The Art of Conquest (AoC)
Age: Middle-Middle
Resource amount: Standard High (SH)
Map size: Small
Other settings: Everything else you'd expect to find in mid sh, very fast speed, 1200 game unit limit, no wonder victory, lock teams on, lock speed on, custom civs on, reveal map on, 20 citizens for each player, et cetera.

Time
First two rounds will be on Friday May 7th. Starting time will be 4 pm CST, and all games must be played by 8 pm CST. (To convert that to your time, click here, set the first box to "U.S.A - Texas - Austin", and the second to where you are from.) (I may change the time if it works out badly for people.)

The next rounds will be played on Saterday, May 8th, during the same time periods.

((Sorry for not looking up other time zones, hope the link helps though =s)

General Tournament Info

• * It will be 2 vs 2.
  * The tournament will be swiss-style, if you don't know what that is find the thread in the tournaments board that explains it
  * It will follow the rules outlined here
  * If your opponent does not show up during the first round, you will automatically win.
  * All rounds will be best of one, but the finals will be best of 3!

Prize!
Well, unless someone can tell me what a good prize would be, lets just go with...:

• *First place - A boost to your ego, bragging rights, and a high five!
  *Second Place - A crushed spirit, and a pat on the back!

If you want to sign up for this tournament, just post your name and your teammate's name here. The cutoff for signing up will be Thursday May 6th, at Noon CST.

If you can't find a partner, post your name here and we will team you up with someone else who doesn't have a partner.

Brackets will be posted shortly after the cutoff time.

Changing it to 2v2, because I heard from quiet a few ppl that 2v2 would be funner.

I'll make the bracket picture when you tell me what they are

as much as i would support 2v2, there just to hard to do, you need to have everyone there
1v1 is more more simple but its your choice

True, and if there are issues I'm willing to bump it down back to 1v1 if people who sign up don't have an issue with it.

Even before you started this sign up thing, i knew that an tournament in ee is close to impossbile. To many people say : I am not here for competition, and they are scared of loosing it. Even if people sign up , to many people will not actually be there on the day the tournament is... sorry , but it wont work. 7 replies since 2 days now ? This is not a boom.

Thats exactly why i liked the idea of ghost , to put up a proper 365/year ladder. Even new people who come to our lobby will be forced in the competition. games ARE competition guys, competition is the FUN thing in games. So dont tell me that you are just here to have FUN, because thats exactly the point i made. EE must stay in competition, otherwise it is just lame.

So i wish you good luck with your tournament , and hope ghost soon finds time to think about making the ladder system

Just looked it up, and you are correct =o

Though it would still go on until 3 am his time, which might he might not be able to do because of school.

Tex and I may be able to participate if the games go a little later.

Also, 2v2 Mid SH is usually played on a small map.
