Hello!

For some reason, my version drops to 2.00.5038 every time i play a game.
Here's what I do:
Do clean install of the game
Install all patches, including omega.
Version becomes 2.00.6345
After I play one direct connect LAN game and then restart the game, on next restart version becomes 2.00.5038.

Happening on both Vista and Win7 x64, not happening on XP.

The only way around to get version back i found is to do clean reinstall of the game again, but I don't want to do it every time. Maybe there is a better way? Someone had this problem maybe?

dont uninstall completely, just uninstall and when the tool comes up select repair and it should leave your version where you want it after the 1st time

Game version is easily affected by even the smallest changes in files.

As a temporary fix, instead of reinstalling your game, just simply open the lobby client, hit the patch tab, then click on "Copy Patch Files To Install Directories". This should clear out all files and reset the game version before re-applying Omega's patch.

Additional troubleshooting would have to come via instant message somehow to get more details.

But unfortunately none of it helped... If I do just repair, the version stays 5038, and it still stays 5038 if I click on "Copy Patch Files To Install Directories".
Maybe there is some way to drop version to 5038 on XP computer too? Because we play only on LAN and have to fully reinstall the game in order to play with each other again...

Instant messaging help would be nice. I'm using ICQ and Jabber/GTalk. I can install any other IM software if you are not using these.
