Save Empire Earth

Hey guys,
I've tried to play EE I again since a long time without, but it does not really wants to work. I got Windows 7 Ultime x64. Most of my friend have installed there game with the Empire Earth Ultimate Edition Dvd and have after patching it the Version 2.00.3466. In comparison to me, who has Empire Earth purchased ages ago on an old disk. After installing it, i have the version 2.00.3466 too, and yes i do have an original key. But as soon as I close it once, the next time I start the game its 2.00.2159. When I want to install the Ultimate Version, after 2/3 the installer hangs up, and as soon as I kill installer.exe (I've waited 3 hours at that point), it tells me: The Remoteprocedur Task has failed, even though the rpc locater service is running.

Hello. Heres a suggestion. Delete that EE install and download and install this, it seems to work well..

I know many with this problem who uses both gr and lobby ee with windows 7. I don't know how to fix it, but if anyone finds a way I think many would appreciate it.

do u also use gr?

if you got GR going as well make sure lobby ee is saved in c drive and your gr ee is saved in d drive then it shouldnt keep changing versions for ya.

if it changes to many versions means there is a virus called
Zbot and usually it hits any EXE file
you can get a scan for that virus from here

then after scan done just remove ur ee completely and install it back
