tried the standard procedures to fix, nothing worked
tried "repair cd key" option, didn't work
looked up the line in the document; was already on "true"
used "repair installation" option of ee itself, then re-installed the patch, still cd key invalid...

so what to do now?

the strange thing is that until yesterday anything worked just fine

nothing works btw
uninstalled patch, uninstalled ee, reinstalled anything still the "invalid key"

yesterday anything worked just fine without problems so wth is going on?

problem appears to be fixed after complete de-installation followed by re-installation of both patch and ee (including both previous patches)...
