Yeah, i don't care what you say. You have your setts, we have ours. Not saying ours is better/yours is better. I just want the tribute screen back to its original state. Kthxbaidevilridermax wrote:yo scen fgts

Re: I would like to formally request...
So, I guess a "a few random noobs" would be the (more than) supermajority of EE players who voted for the removal of the ability to tribute? I don't exactly see how "few" works out when you consider there were more than 400 users that voted in the poll, and "random" doesn't work.
I R IZ CONFOOSED O_O, How does 151 = 400? o_O, Tell me pl0x

As the late great Answer would say, STFU.
Seriously, you're all bad at this game. Omega could rape you any sett 1v1 in his sleep. You're all a fucking waste of life, if you want to spout drivel all day go find a chat room where you can conduct your circle jerk in peace. You're even a disgrace to the citybuilder players of old, who were at least competent enough at this game to defend themselves at 4 hrs. f11 instead of crying like children (which I assume you are) and dropping. You'll get some respect around here when you learn to play the game; until then you will remain scum.

Re: I would like to formally request...
A supermajority of players voted for the removal of the ability to tribute to fix the resource glitch. I did EXACTLY what they wanted.P-51 wrote:For Omega to stop being such a arrogant little bitch and give the people what they want
Explanation on why I pretty much ignored the first request. You guys requested something that's already there.P-51 wrote:You being a sarcastic asshole like this is exactly why you are hated outside of your oligarchy. Why don't you just accept the fact that you are an awful admin and let the game go back to where it once was? At least give us some answers to why you are saying "no" instead of bullshit remarks like that.
Why I pretty much ignored the second request is that 39 days ago, a supermajority of players from this game stated what they wanted, and that was what we have now.
Also, if you haven't noticed, I put every single patch change up for a vote in January as well, and the things that didn't hit at least a supermajority in favor or keeping I removed (the assumption of the the poll was that unless a supermajority wanted something, it was going back to how it was... which is damn fair considering how hard it is to get a supermajority to vote for anything).
Perhaps I've come off as a bit flippant, but the reason for that is threefold:
1) My reasons are obvious (or should be) to anyone who's read this forum
2) It seems likely the only reason you+nicoly+jushe+HK are doing this is because you've all been recently banned for violating the ToU, and 3 are still banned.
3) I know for a fact that you guys are arranging these posting campaigns via xfire, so it seems pretty "fake".
I locked only the first thread. I locked it because the request was for something to be the way it currently is, which is a non-request, and thus there's no point in discussing it at all.HK47 wrote:Omega, i think you should stop locking every single thread we make, i think people should be able to comment and specualte on their opinions as well. Instead of locking every the thread every time we bring the subject up. I think you should maybe just stay out of a least one thread and acually let people have a disscussion about it.
Please consider it instead of shutting us out immediately. Thank you.
o_o
I believe it has been stated quite clearly on these forums, by myself (and others), as well as in the poll, what the benefits and costs of each option, such as removing the tribute screen and removing the ability to tribute.P-51 wrote:It is also quite funny how you call these encounters "arguements" when you lock the thread and run away from us.You have never stated why it is a good reason
to omit this screen from our game. You never explained the fact why anti-glitching measures are necessary when almost no one glitches anymore and you never
explained why this major of people are too lazy/stupid to report and ban cheaters the old fashioned way instead of wanting to negatively impact our game by taking
out an important part of it.
We're not trying to bother you with multiple threads but you keep locking them without explaining properly.
As for almost no one glitching anymore, as you claim, this is a claim without evidence. I can't provide evidence that many players glitch, either. I will say that based on the low amounts of reports of glitchers, that one of the three following things is probably true:
1) people don't care much about glitching
2) people don't glitch all that much
3) glitchers finally stopped being stupid and learned how easy it is to make it almost impossible to prove
#1 certainly appears false based on the votes of the community, since the supermajority would sacrifice the ability to tribute for the assurance no one was glitching units. So, we're left with the other two, and whichever it is it's clear the community thinks that whatever the level of glitching, getting rid of glitchers was worth loosing the ability to tribute.
Well, the smartass remark on the first request was clearly warranted. Somehow you all completely failed to realize that what you were requesting is EXACTLY how things are. The second smartass remark, was directed entirely at P-51, for things he said that are demonstrably false. Lying (i.e. saying demonstrably false things that are very obviously false to anyone who was paying attention) is worthy of a smartass reply in my book.Nicoly23 wrote:Yeah, Omega, Did you really have to make a smartass remark on our last few posts?, We're just trying to get part of the game back, i bet if you were to try and do another vote it would be voted back, maybe also if you try not to lock our threads, it could become a discussion or an "argument" as you stated. Also i doubt theres still 400 players on this lobby or game, considering what youve done to it.
The last vote finished 39 days ago. I don't think that many people actually changed their minds since then. The reason I think this is that aside from the few requesting the tribute ability back on the fourm, only two people have asked for this in the lobby. So far, the people asking for it back haven't even been the people who voted to get rid of it.
As for your doubt there's still 400 people around, the vote was 39 days ago, and uhh, the average activity level since then at different times has been basically constant... So, the evidence seems to indicate the conclusion that there's just as many people around (or that a shitload of people left... but that the people who stated got so much more active that it made up for all the people who left... which seems kinda unlikely.)
That was the first vote on the issue. That vote was to see if enough people were even interested in TRYING it. That vote succeeded, and we tried it with no tribute screen. Another poll was run in a week (bit less than actually), and the result of that poll was that most people wanted to continue testing. We kept testing. We then ran a final poll, and the result was a supermajority of the community wanted the ability to send tributes removed, but the tribute screen to remain.P-51 wrote:Also if I recall correctly the vote said "temporatily remove tribute screen" so that means it should be back by now right?
@Everyone, just for your information, we've also made it extremely easy to switch between patched and vanilla via the lobby. It requires pressing literally two buttons from the lobby. You're all capable of getting the tribute screen back YOURSELVES (and undoing every other change made to ee and aoc), by merely pressing two buttons and finding others who are also willing to go through the trouble of pressing two buttons so you can play multiplayer together.
Oh, and I'm sure *everyone* is going to enjoy the special treat I have for you... Some snippets of a certain Xfire conversation! And then you wonder why I'm not taking any of you all that seriously...

Re: I would like to formally request...
You're part of the community. No one individual represents the entire community. A very small subset of the community also does not represent the entire community.Moo wrote:Omega stop being stupid WE ARE THE COMMUNITY! And WE WANT the tribute screen back stop being gay and give us what the community wants. Your being too much of a dictator you removed my donator status even though it wasn't in the ToU you freaking faggot
Your donator status was temporarily removed because you failed to follow the guidelines for the usage of certain privileges of it. It was restored like a day later, also by me. You also know that the guidelines for donators aren't in the ToU, they're in the thread titled "Donator Rank Guidelines".
If you haven't been paying attention, there were three polls. The first poll was to test or not, test won. The second poll was a vote on the change, and "keep testing" won. The third was the final poll, that resulted in the change.
I'm probably done responding to this thread, or any future threads you guys may create, as it seems there's very little point in doing so.
