Having an update issue

Every time try to update the game it gives me this "Old file not found. However, a file of the same name was found. No update since file contents do not match" message. Wtf is that suppose to mean and how do I fix the problem?

Typically, this error is caused by you trying to update an older version game that has a no-cd crack installed on it. Some 3rd party modifications to EE can also cause this issue, as well as corruption.

The solution is to uninstall your game, then reinstall it*. Run the 1.0 to 1.4 update, then the 1.4 to 2.0 update.

THEN you can crack your game, or install my patch.

Note(*): If you have the .exe from before you cracked it, and it is indeed the correct one for the version you have, then you can just replace the cracked one with it. Then follow all other instructions as listed. If it still doesn't work, you'll have to uninstall and reinstall, because your issue is likely due to a 3rd party modification or corruption.

install the patches from your unlimited folder, the patcher dont work with the dl all the time
