Ok peow...peow130 wrote:It's more than that. I can count 24 off the top of my head, in just a 12 hour period..
One at every hour..
Two for every hour on a twelve hour clock.
so 48 maybe?
Hour and minute hand = 2 90 degree angles per hour; 24 in 12 hours.
Minute and second hand = 2 90 degree angles per minute; 1440 in 12 hours
Second and hour hand = 2 90 degree angles per minute too; 1440 in 12 hours
2*1440+24 = 2904
There is NOT one at every hour. When the minute, second, and hour hand are all at the same place, you don't have a 90 degree angle created by any of them...

I read his correction. I decided to give the actual answer instead of just what he was asking.
Either way, you're still 100% dead wrong. I gave the breakdown to show that (and also, giving the breakdown answers his clarified question as well as answering the given, more interesting question)
You can't have 48 90 degree angles between the hour and minute hand in 12 hours, since there are only 24 of them that occur in that period of time.

You can't have 48 90 degree angles between the hour and minute hand in 12 hours, since there are only ******22****** of them that occur in that period of time.
