Im rather disappointed not being in the list either. I played tons of 1v1's and had a 95% win rate against all the people on the list when I tried.

Found your list and the way you explained everything to be very interesting, and helpfull to understand where your coming from. Also think you adressed the "ras issue" or whatever quite fair. The fact that you are who you are, and have been in the last 3-4 years in Liga scene, your voice is obviously very important. From what I can see everything you're writing is correct (aka I agree). All tho, I have something I want to point out.

1) When you are doing your rateing you are rateing by their prime, correct?
If so, then how come you officialy state there is a "calm and a skillful ras". I'm sure you can put everyone on a list two times if you count the games where they dont care.

2) Would you say "the skillful ras" are equal or better then splinter?

3) Inconsistent was a word that struck me (about BONES). Were would you put your own consistency?

Good job, captain obvious, this is what my post is about. It's not surprising to me that you were not able to understand.

Besides, I refuse to exchange opinions about it with someone who has never been an active Liga 1v1 player, who's never taken the time to observe good 1v1s in the last 4 years, is officially recognized as a lobby reject, and even wants to have his say on the matter criticizing the opinion of someone who has played at the highest levels on a regular basis in the last years.


By the way, I strongly recommend you spend some time chatting with someone else, I think the picture of Fred Flinstone that Lightnessking posted 4 pages ago might reflect better your conversational needs and you might have some nice chats with it. I will post it again as a favour to my favourite lobby juke-box like chit chatter.

There is not a precise rule that has led me to judge each of the ranks, however I will explain why I think i have made the correct choices there.

As a rule of thumb, I have decided to consider only the 100% version of that player, the only two exceptions were ras and bones. I have put ras twice on my list because I felt the need to clear up the controversial issue about his "not trying", and I put it twice in the list in attempt to explain it.
If we only were to consider the 100% version of ras, then we should only consider him as #4 on my list.
Perhaps another reason why I have put him twice is the fact that in the recent years I have very rarely seen him play with that high ps, I have seen him beat bones once with it at stone age, and in some games with me, and there were few other exceptions I currently dont remember about so, despite getting the 4th position on my list when playing at his best, he has played "calmly" more often than "skillfully" (lets use these names xD) in the recent years.

I answer about bones before replying to your second question. At his best, he is an exceptional player, I will tell you a funny anecdote as soon as I get back home (I have got 5 minutes left, but I will still reply to your questions). I just found it rather weird that some days he plays so incredibly well, I have already mentioned his incredible assyrians vs austria match-up at bronze age that is absolutely impressive, he plays it like a true genious, but just few days later I've seen his skills drop and play much worse all of a sudden. I'm not sure what the cause of this could be, perhaps a long day at work or a really tiring day? That's also to be taken into consideration from my point of view (we need to be fair), however I'm just stating what I noticed. I would rate Bones at his best to be somewhere between Dave and ras/splinter, and when he's not at his best he would lose to Wolvy (which is nothing to be ashamed about).
Since we can't really know what the cause of that was, I have put him in that position: if Bones came here and said something like "Yeah sometimes i had long days but wanted to play even if I was tired", I'd gladly change his position.

As for myself, it is true that these days I might have seen a bit of consistent, but that was due to my fps problems. I hosted 3 years ago Liga 1v1 with score, and the first time I had 18 - 1, and the second time, one year later 27 - 3. Players like splinter, skulls, black-cobra, and dave took part in the series, and I would call that to be quite consistent. The player consistence should be judged when the player has reached 100%: regarding Bones, I said he's unconsistent because he would play extremely good one day (like he's 100%), and bad on another day, to be at his best again very little time later. I have talked about it just above.


As for Splinter vs Ras, I can state my opinion in depth as soon as I get home if you are interested, since it's getting really late now. I will be back in 2 hours I think.
