i just remembered that i reinstalled my current anti-virus program days b4 i was able to log in to the lobby

In which case, it was probably your anti-virus program preventing you from logging into the lobby.

If you're still having trouble, see if you can log in with the anti-virus program not running. If you can, then try and add exceptions for the lobby // tweaking your anti-virus settings.
